Summary: Written for a prompt at Bite Sized Bits of Fic: Leverage, Parker/Eliot, making snow-angels

“Do it and I'll be your friend,” Parker bargained in that deadpan voice of hers.

“We're not friends.” Eliot felt as if he'd been poleaxed. Not five minutes ago, they'd passed a girl teasing her boyfriend with the same words and Parker had stared at them, as if studying the couple, so closely that the young man had turned and asked, angrily, if there was a problem. It hadn't been difficult to calm the guy down, especially given that Eliot had no qualms about telling anybody that there was just something off about Parker. Still, it hadn't been exactly pleasant, he was rather annoyed at Parker, and damned if he couldn't tell if she was just trying, and failing, to be normal or if she was actually messing with him.

“Come on,” she said, grabbing his arm and trying to pull him onto the snow. He didn't move. She pulled harder. With a sigh he let himself be dragged along.

The things I do for family, he thought as they each fell backwards and started making snow angels.

Hahaha...too cute.

And I have a feeling Eliot spends most of his time going "I'm sorry...what?!" with Parker.

*Laughs* Yeah, Eliot just wierded out by people who aren't all that normal, which is pretty much the whole team come to think of it.

Including Eliot...but don't tell him that. ;-)

Oh yeah, got to agree with you there. He'd totally freak to think that he, himself, was strange.

To Eliot: "Dude, you beat people up for a living...and like it...and ya don't think that's strange?"

Not that I'd ever SAY that to him.

*laughs* Just watched the ep where Eliot and Alec are checking garbage and Eliot tosses a bag full of garbage at Alec with a "heads up" and a smile after Alec gets hit and complains.

That boy just doesn't have a good rope on his temper. Seems odd and slightly off to me because I tend to think of people who are that good at fighting as being very polite.

*giggles* I love that scene...such a silly boy scene.

No he really doesn't. Um, I don't know about people who are that good at fighting. My cousin used to fight MMA and he was always very patient with me, but I'm also the "baby" so that was part of it. He could/can also yell with the best of them. I mean I've seen him fight and he's very contained and he'll show someone a move over and over until they get it, but it's a completely different type/kind of fighting in a way. *shrugs* I think the holding of temper is more a learned thing and Eliot channels it into the fight...just feels like he doesn't need to around the team maybe. I know my cousin doesn't always feel he needs to around our family.

Does that help any?

The iconic example I was thinking of was from BtVS. The first Slayer that Spike killed. In the commentary Joss talks about the girl who played her, who was some kick-ass martial artist. Joss' comment was how polite she was to everybody. That's what I think of when I think of a really excellent fighter.

However, your comments completely make sense. In the series, Eliot shows his true emotions around people he feels comfortable with. First ep, where he's getting that baseball card from the bad guy, he's totally cool and collected. Where do we see him show his emotions? Around Aimee and around the team. Wow, thanks.

Thanks. I thought Eliot was very brave, admitting he thought of Parker as family. *giggles*
